RESOLUTION 17-015
APPROVING THE MAYOR'S APPOINTMKNT OF PRIMARY AND ALTERNATE MEMBERS
OF THK DES MOINES AREA METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION (MPO)AND
PRIMARY AND ALTERNATE MEMBERS FOR THE DES MOINES AREA MPO
TRANSPORTATION AND TECHNICAL COMMITTEE FOR THK YEAR 2017
IN THENAMEAND BYTHEAUTHORITYOF THE CITYOF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee must annually appoint or reappoint representatives to the Des Moines
Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO)and the MPO Transportation Technical Committee
(MPO TTC);AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has two primary representatives and two alternate representatives on
both the MPO and on the MPO TTC;AND,
WHEREAS,for the calendar year 2017,Mayor William F.Peard appoints himself and City
Administrator Tim Moennan as primary representatives;and Mayor William F.Peard appoints
Development Services Director Brad Deets as alternate representative to the MPO;AND,
WHEREAS,for the calendar year 2017,Mayor William F.Peard appoints Development Services
Director Brad Deets and Assistant Public Works Director of Engineering Rudy Koester as primary
representatives;and Mayor William F.Peard appoints Public Works Director John Gibson and Senior
Planner Andy Kass as alternate representatives to the MPO TTC.
NOW THEREFORE BK IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 3"day of
January,2017,that it hereby approves the Mayor's appointments to the Metropolitan Planning
Organization and to the Metropolitan Planning Organization Transportation echnical Committee.
