RESOLUTION 08-245
APPROVING QUIT CLAIM DEED AND RELATED DOCUMENTS RELATED TO THE
UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD RIGHT -OF-WAY (RACCOON RIVER V ALLEY TRAIL
EXTENSION)
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,on January 21,2008,the Waukee City Council approved entering into a 28E
Agreement by and between the Dallas County Conservation Board and various cities within
Dallas County for the utilization of funds for acquisition and development of a recreation trail
within the abandoned Union Pacific Railroad right-of-way,a project also known as the Raccoon
River Valley Trail Extension (Resolution #08-19);AND,
WHEREAS,the Dallas County Attomey has prepared and provided Quit Claim Deed and
related documents to relinquish to the City of Waukee all rights of dower,homestead and
distributive share in and to the real estate as legally described in the Deed.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa
that the Quit Claim Deed and related documents be approved.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa and approved the 3rd day of November
2008.
