RESOLUTION 17-298
APPROVING THE WAIVER OF THK BUILDING PERMIT FEK FOR THK
CONSTRUCTION OF AN OFFICE BUILD-OUT AT 208 W.HICKMAN ROAD
(WAUKEE AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE)
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF O'A UKEE,IO IYA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee Area Chamber of Commerce currently leases space from the City
within the City Hall Complex at 230 W.Hickman Road;AND,
WHEREAS,the Chamber of Commerce lease is set to expire on November 30,2017 and the
City has chosen not to renew the lease because of needs of the City;AND,
WHEREAS,the Chamber has found space for a new office to be located at 208 W.Hicktnan
Road which will require a full build-out of the office space;AND,
WHEREAS,the Chamber has made a request to the City to waive the cost of the building
permit for the office build-out which is estimates at a cost of approximately $600.00;AND,
WHEREAS,the City and the Chamber have a strong relationship that works to the benefit of
each party and the community.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
19'"day of June,2017,that it hereby approves the waiver of the building permit cost associated
with the build-out of the office space at 208 W.Hickman Road for the Waukee Area Chamber of
Commerce.
