RESOLUTION 17-385
APPROVING SUBSCRIPTION AGREEMENT WITH COMMUNICARK
TECHNOLOGY,INC.,D/B/A PULSARA
IN THE NAMEAND BY THE AUTHORITYOF THE CITY OF 8'AUKEE,IOIYA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee Fire Department recommends approval of a Subscription Agreement
with CommuniCare Technology,Inc.,d/b/a Pulsara;AND,
WHEREAS,the Pulsara communication system relays patient information through a HIPAA-
compliant app on a smart device,as well as providing real time ECG printouts and other patient
information intended to reduce hospital wait and intervention time for the patient;AND,
WHEREAS,the Cities of Waukee,West Des Moines,Clive and Ankeny will be the first Des
Moines metro-area organizations to test this system,with the intent for all metro EMS agencies
to adopt the system;AND,
WHEREAS,the system will be adopted at no cost to the City of Waukee.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa on
this 14'day of August,2017 that the Subscription Agreement with CommuniCare Technology,
Inc.,d/b/a Pulsara is hereby approved.
