APPROVING PROFESSIONAL SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH VEENSTRA 4
KIMM,INC.,FOR JOINT WAUKEE/WEST DKS MOINES WATER WORKS SOURCE
WATER AVAILABILITY STUDY
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE,IOH'A
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,on August 23,2016,the Waukee City Council approved a Joint Waukee/West Des
Moines Water Works Source Water Availability Study (Resolution ¹16-371);AND,
WHEREAS,the Cities of Waukee and West Des Moines additionally propose a professional
services agreement with Veenstra &Kimm,Inc.,to identify the potential for an allowed source
of water and for a water treatment facility,as well as to determine possible future capital
operating expenses and other costs for development of such a facility;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee City Attorney has reviewed the proposed agreement and finds it
satisfactory.
NOW,THEREFORE,BK IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa
on this 4"day of December,2017,that the Professional Service Agreement Joint
Waukee/WDMWW Water Supply and Treatment Study between the City of Waukee and
Veenstra Ec Kimm,Inc.,is hereby approved,pending approval by West Des Moines Water
Works.
