APPROVING THK TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WALNUT STREET FROM 6
STREET WEST TO 7 STREET BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8:00 A.M.AND 3:00
P.M.ON SATURDAY,OCTOBER 14,2017,FOR THK PURPOSE OF A BLOCK PARTY
[WAUKEE LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE CLASS OF 2017 FAMILY ACTIVITY DAY]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF IYA UKEE,108'A
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee Leadership Institute Class of 2017 requests the temporary closing of
Walnut Street from 6"Street west to 7'"Street between the hours of 8:00 a.m,and 3:00 p.m.on
Saturday,October 14,2017,for the purpose of a Family Activity Day event;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to Code of Iowa I'1364.12(2)(a),public ways and grounds may be
temporarily closed by resolution.
NOW THEREFORE BK IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
21"day of August,2017,that it hereby approves the temporary closing of Walnut Street from 6"
Street west to 7'"Street between the hours of 8:00 a.m.and 3:00 p.m.on Saturday,October 14,
2017,for the purpose of a block party [Waukee Leadership Institute Class of 20 Family
Activity Day].
