RESOLUTION 17-242
APPROVING THK SUSPENSION OF THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 228,NOISE
ORDINANCE,FOR CONSTRUCTION NOISE ASSOCIATED WITH THE
ALICE'S ROAD CORRIDOR WIDENING PROJECT,PHASES 4 AND 5
1N THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE,TO IYA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,Chapter 228,Waukee Municipal Code,Section 228.05 includes the prohibition of
construction noise which is received between the hours of 9:00 p.m.and 7:00 a.m.at the real
property boundary of residential property;AND,
WHEREAS,City staff recommends the suspension of the provisions of Section 228.05 for
construction noise exclusively associated with the Alice's Road Corridor Widening Project,
Phases 4 and 5,for the duration of project construction;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee that it
hereby approves the suspension of the provisions of Chapter 228,Noise Ordinance,for
construction noise associated with the Alice's Road Corridor Widening Project,Phases 4 and 5.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved the 15"day of May,
2017.
