RESOLUTION 17-476
APPROVING IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AGREEMENT FOR
IOWA CLEAN AIR ATTAINMENT PROGRAM (ICAAP)FUNDING
[HICKMAN ROAD/ALICE'S RD INTERSECTION]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE,IO8'A
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,Fixing America's Surface Transportation (FAST)Act allows the Iowa Department of
Transportation to allocate funding to Transportation Alternative programs,including the Iowa Clean
Air Attainment Program (ICAAP);AND,
WHEREAS,the intersection of Hickman Road and Alice's Road (the "Project")has been identified as
a location where improvements will contribute to meeting National Ambient Air Quality Standards;
AND,
WHEREAS,on October 17,2016,the Waukee City Council approved an ICAAP application for the
Project (Resolution ¹16-450);AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee was awarded $700,000 in funding toward the Project through
ICAAP;AND,
WHEREAS,the Iowa Department of Transportation has submitted an Agreement for Iowa Clean Air
Attainment Program (ICAAP)related to the Project.
NOW THEREFORE BK IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 2"day
of October,2017,that it hereby approves the Iowa Department of Transportation Agreement for Iowa
Clean Air Attainment Program (ICAAP)funding [Hickman Road/Alice's Rd Interse tion].
