RESOLUTION 18-181
APPROVING THE TEMPORARY ONE-WAY TRAFFIC DESIGNATION OF
PARK ROAD FOR THK BACOON BIKE RIDE
IN THENAMEAND BYTHEAUTHORITYOF THE CITYOF WAUEEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,Centennial Park in Waukee will act as the starting point for the BACooN Bike
Ride on Saturday,June 16,2018;AND,
WHEREAS,Centennial Park shall also serve as a camping site for BACooN Bike Ride
participants the evening of Friday,June 15,2018;AND,
WHEREAS,in an effort to improve traffic flow and increase safety for the event,the Waukee
Festivals Committee requests the temporary designation of Park Road from Ashworth Drive west
to Warrior Lane as a one-way street,with the direction of traffic moving westward,from 12:00
p.m.on Friday,June 15,2018,to 10:00 a.m.on Saturday,June 16,2018;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to tJ364.12(2)(a),public ways and grounds may be temporarily closed by
resolution;
NOW THEREFORE BK IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
7 day of May,2018,thatit hereby approves the temporary one-way traffic designation of Park
Road for the BACooN Bike Ride.
