RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE SOUTHWEST AREA TRUNK SEWER
EXTENSION
WHEREAS,on the 7'"day of November 2016,the Mayor and Clerk of the City of
Waukee,Iowa,entered into a construction contract with Pohlmeier Construction for the
construction of certain public improvements generally described as the Southwest Area Trunk
Sewer Extension;and
WHEREAS,the contractor has fully completed the construction of the public
improvements in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract and plans and
specifications,except the requirement that contractor submit lien waivers,as shown by the
certificate of the Engineer filed with the Clerk on May 30,2018;and
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WAUKEE,IOWA:
Section 1.That the report of the Engineer be and the same is hereby approved and
adopted,and the public improvements are hereby approved and accepted as having been fully
completed in accordance with the plans,specifications and form of contract and the total final
construction cost thereof is hereby determined to be $839,038.27,as shown in the report of the
Engineer.The Retainage shall be held and processed in accordance with the provisions of Iowa
Code Chapter 573.
