RESOLUTION 18-214
APPROVING THE TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PAINTED WOODS DRIVE
BETWEEN ITS INTERSECTIONS WITH ARROWHEAD DRIVE ON SATURDAY,
AUGUST 25,2018,WITH AN ALTERNATE DATE OF SUNDAY,AUGUST 26,2018,
BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 6:00 P.M.AND 10:00 P.M.FOR THE PURPOSE OF A
NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY
INTHENAMEANDBYTHEAUTHOItITYOF THE CITYOF 8'AUKEE,IOIYA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,resident Lorie Rosebrook requests the temporary closing of Painted Woods Drive
between its intersections with Arrowhead Drive on Saturday,August 25,2018,with an alternate
date of Sunday,August 26,2018,between the hours of 6:00 p.m.and 10:00 p.m.for the purpose
of a neighborhood block party;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to Code of Iowa $364.12(2)(a),public ways and grounds may be
temporarily closed by resolution.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this4"'day of June,2018,that it hereby approves the temporary closing of Painted Woods Drive
between its intersections with Arrowhead Drive on Saturday,August 25,2018,with an alternate
date of Sunday,August 26,2018,between the hours of 6:00 p.m.and 10:00 p.m.for the purpose
of a neighborhood block party.
