RESOLUTION 18-240
APPROVING THE TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WHITEPINE COURT FROM
SILVERLEAF LANE SOUTH TO THE TERMINUS OF THE CUL-DE-SAC ON
SATURDAY,JUNK 23,2018,WITH AN ALTERNATE DATE OF FRIDAY,JULY 6,
2018&BETWEEN THK HOURS OF 5:00 P.M.AND 11:30P.M.FOR THE PURPOSE OF
A NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,resident Lindsay DeGroote requests the temporary closing of Whitepine Court
&om Silverleaf Lane south to the terminus of the cul-de-sac on Saturday,June 23,2018,with an
alternate date of Friday,July 6,2018,between the hours of 5:00 p.m.and 11:30 p.m.for the
purpose of a neighborhood block party;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to Code of iowa $364.12(2)(a),public ways and grounds may be
temporarily closed by resolution.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
18 day of June,2018,that it hereby approves the temporary closing of Whitepine Court &om
Silverleaf Lane south to the terminus of the cul-de-sac on Saturday,June 23,2018,with an
alternate date of Friday,July 6,2018,between the hours of 5:00 p.m.and 11:30p.m.for the
purpose of a neighborhood block party.
