RESOLUTION 18-017
APPROVING THE MAYOR'S APPOINTMENT OF PRIMARY AND ALTERNATE MEMBERS
OF THK DKS MOINES AREA METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION (MPO)AND
PRIMARY AND ALTERNATE MEMBERS FOR THE DKS MOINES AREA MPO
TRANSPORTATION AND TECHNICAL COMMITTEE FOR THE YEAR 2018
IN THE NAME AND BY THEA UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF 8'A UICEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee must annually appoint or reappoint representatives to the Des Moines
Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO)and the MPO Transportation Technical Committee
(MPO TTC);AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has two primary representatives and two alternate representatives on
both the MPO and on the MPO TTC;AND,
WHEREAS,for the calendar year 2018,Mayor William F.Peard appoints himself and City
Administrator Tim Moerman as primary representatives;and Mayor William F.Peard appoints
Development Services Director Brad Deets and Assistant Public Works Director of Engineering Rudy
Koester as alternate representatives to the MPO;AND,
WHEREAS,for the calendar year 2018,Mayor William F.Peard appoints Development Services
Director Brad Deets and Assistant Public Works Director of Engineering Rudy Koester as primary
representatives;and Mayor William F.Peard appoints Public Works Director John Gibson and Senior
Planner Andy Kass as alternate representatives to the MPO TTC.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 2"day of
January,2018,that it hereby approves the Mayor's appointments to the Metropolit Planning
Organization and to the Metropolitan Planning Organizatio Transportation Tec 1 C mmittee.
