APPROVING THE TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WALNUT STREET FROM 6 n
STREET WEST 125 FEET TO THE ALLEY BETWEEN THK HOURS OF 7:00 A.M.
AND 9:00 P.M.ON SATURDAY,SEPTEMBER 29,2018,AS PART OF A SPECIAL
EVENT PERMIT [WAUKKE HARDWARE STORE GRAND RK-OPKNINGj
IN THE NAME AND BY THEA UTHORITYOF THE CITYOF WAUKEE,IO8'A
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the owners of Waukee Hardware Store request the temporary closing of Walnut
Street from 6'"Street west 125 feet to the alley between the hours of 7:00 a.m.and 9:00 p.m.on
Saturday,September 29,2018,for a business grand re-opening event;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to Code of Iowa t'1364.12(2)(a),public ways and grounds may be
temporarily closed by resolution.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
4'"day of September,2018,that it hereby approves the temporary closing of Walnut Street from
6"'Street west 125 feet to the alley between the hours of 7:00 a.m.and 9:00 .n Saturday,
September 29,2018,as part of a Special Event Permit [Waukee H are Store and re-
opening.
