RESOLUTION 18-275
APPROVING THE TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SNYDER STREET FROM AIDAN
STREET TO EMERSON LANE ON SATURDAY,JULY 7,2018,BETWEEN THE
HOURS OF 3:00 P.M.AND 11:00P.M.,WITH AN ALTERNATE DATE OF FRIDAY,
JULY 6,2018,FOR THK PURPOSE OF A NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UICEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,resident Shelly Hughes requests the temporary closing of Snyder Street from
Aidan Street to Emerson Lane on Saturday,July 7,2018,between the hours of 3:00 p.m.and
11:00 p.m.,with an alternate date of Friday,July 6,2018,for the purpose of a neighborhood
block party;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to Code of Iowa $364.12(2)(a),public ways and grounds may be
temporarily closed by resolution.
NOW THEREFORE BK IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
2"day of July,2018,that it hereby approves the temporary closing of Snyder Street from Aidan
Street to Emerson Lane on Saturday,July 7,2018,between the hours of 3:00 p.m.and 11:00
p.m.,with an alternate date of Friday,July 6,2018,for the purpose of a neighborhood block
party.
