RESOLUTION 18-308
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THK DISPOSAL OF REAL ESTATE IN
ACCORDANCE WITH IOWA CODE 364.7(2018)
IN THE NAMEAND BYTHEAUTHORITYOF THE CITYOF WAUI EE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS,the City caused notice of a public hearing to be published in accordance with Iowa
Code 364.7 Code of Iowa (2017)concerning the disposal of certain real estate owned by the City
to the Waukee Community School District;AND
WHEREAS,on August 6,2018,the Waukee City Council held a public hearing pursuant to
Iowa Code tj364.7 regarding the sale and transfer of property legally described as:
Lot 1 of Waukee High School ¹2,a plat now in and forming a part of the City of
Waukee,Dallas County,Iowa,
subject to all easements and restrictions of record.
WHEREAS,after the public hearing,and consideration of the proposal concerning the disposal
of said real estate to the Waukee Community School District in exchange for property owned by
the School District,a public body as contemplated by 364.7 Code of Iowa,and other good and
valuable consideration from said school district,the City Council of the City of Waukee
determines that it is in the best interest of the City to authorize the disposal of said property to
the School District.
NOW THEREFORE BK IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
6th day of August,2018,that,following public hearing as required by Iowa Code 364.7 Code of
Iowa (2018),hereby approves the disposal of property to the Waukee Community School
District legally described as:
Lot 1 of Waukee High School ¹2,a plat now in and forming a part of the City of
Waukee,Dallas County,Iowa,
subject to all easements and resn.ictions of record.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved this the 6'"day of August,
2018.
