RESOLUTION 19-004
APPROVING THE MAYOR'S APPOINTMKNT OF CITY ATTORNEY
FOR 2019
IN THENAMEANDBYTHEAUTHORITYOF THE CITYOF 8'AUKEE,IOP'A
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa,is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee City Council must appoint the position of City Attorney
annually;AND,
WHEREAS,the law firm of Brick,Gentry,Bowers,Swartz &Levis,P.C.,hereinafter
known as Brick Gentry Law Firm,was first appointed as City Attorney by the City
Council on June 6,2005 (Resolution ¹05-90);AND,
WHEREAS,the Brick Gentry Law Firm has proven to be an excellent partner with and
resource for the City of Waukee in all necessary aspects of the legal system;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Waukee,Iowa on
this 7'"day of January,2019,does hereby approve the appointment of Brick Gentry Law
Firm as City Attorney for 2019.
