RESOLUTION 18-418
APPROVING THE TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF
PUBLIC STREETS ON FRIDAY,DECEMBER 7,2018,FOR THE PURPOSE OF
WAUKEE WINTERFEST
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UICEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee will host Waukee WinterFest on Friday,December 7,2018,in the
vicinity of Triangle Park and the Waukee Community Center;AND,
WHEREAS,City staff recommend the temporary closing of certain portions of public streets
beginning 4:00 p.m.and ending 9:00 p.m.on Friday,December 7,2018,for the purpose of Waukee
WinterFest;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to t'l364.12(2)(a),public ways and grounds may be temporarily closed by
resolution;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 15'"
day of October,2018,that it hereby approves the temporary closing of Walnut Street from 5'"Street
west to 7'"Street,6'"Street from Ashworth Drive south to Locust Street,the public alley between 6'"
Street and 7'"Street from Ashworth Drive south to Locust Street,and the public alley between
Ashworth Drive and Walnut Street from 7'"Street east to its terminus,beginning 4:00 p.m.and ending
9:00 p.m.on Friday,December 7,2018,for the purpose of Waukee WinterFest.
