RESOLUTION 18-514
APPROVING THE MAYOR'S APPOINTMENT OF THK CITY OF WAUKEE
PRIMARY AND ALTERNATE MEMBERS TO THE POLK COUNTY JOINT 911
SERVICE BOARD FOR THK YEAR 2019
IN THE NAMEAND BYTHEAUTHORITYOF THE CITYOF WAUEEE,IOIYA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County;AND,
WHEREAS,the Polk County Joint 911 Service Board enables the orderly development,
installation,and operation of 911 emergency telephone communications systems and other
emergency 911 notification devices;AND,
WHEREAS,the Polk County Board of Supervisors shall maintain a Joint 911 Service Board;
AND,
WHEREAS,each political subdivision having a public safety agency serving territory within
the county is entitled to voting membership on the Joint 911 Service Board;AND,
WHEREAS,the Joint 911 Service Board shall annually submit a listing of members,to
include the political subdivision they represent;AND,
WHEREAS,the board members shall be the liaison between their jurisdiction and the board;
AND,
WHEREAS,Mayor William F.Peard appoints Fire Chief Clint Robinson as the City of
Waukee primary member and Fire Captain Tomme Tysdal as alternate member to the Polk
County Joint 911 Service Board.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session
this 17'"day of December,2018,that it hereby approves the Mayor's appointment of
members to the Polk County Joint 911 Service Board for the Year 2019.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the primary or alternate member(s)hall attend board
meetings on behalf of the City of Waukee.
