RESOLUTION 19-072
AMENDING CITY OF WAUKEE EMPLOYEE BENEFITS
[LIFE AND AD&D INSURANCE COVERAGE]
IN THE NAMEAND BY THEAUTHORITYOF THE CITY OF 8'AUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,following a review of employee benefits,the City Administrator and Human Resource
Director recommend increasing City-provided life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D)
insurance coverage for all full-time employees from $20,000 to $50,000;AND,
WHEREAS,the insurance coverage amendment shall go into effect July 1,2019;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 4'"day
of March,2019,that the life and AD&D insurance coverage increase for all full-time employees is
hereby approved and shall go into effect July 1,2019.
BK IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the insurance coverage increase for full-time employees covered
by the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Communications Workers of America (CWA),Local
¹7102,AFL-CIO,shall also go into effect July 1,2019,pending approval of a Memorandum of
Understanding.
