APPROVING THE TEMPORARY CLOSING OF LOCUST STREET FROM 6m
STREET WEST TO 7r"STREET ON FRIDAY,NOVEMBER 16,2018,FROM 9:00 A.M.
TO I:00 P.M.FOR THK PURPOSE OF A CONTROLLED BURN BY THE WAUKEE
FIRE DEPARTMENT OF AN UNOCCUPIED RESIDENCE,WITH AN ALTERNATE
CONTROLLED BURN DATE OF TUESDAY,NOVEMBER 20,2018
IN THE NAME AND BY THEA UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee Fire Department intends to conduct a controlled burn of an unoccupied
residence addressed as 640 Locust Street,Waukee,Iowa,at the request of the property owner;
AND,
WHEREAS,in order to access fire hydrants and protect surrounding property and the general
public,it is necessary to temporarily close certain public streets during the controlled burn of the
property;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to Code of Iowa 1'1364.12(2)(a),public ways and grounds may be
temporarily closed by resolution;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
5"day of November,2018,that it hereby approves the temporary closing of Locust Street from
6ra Street west to 7'"Street on Friday,November 16,2018,from 9:00 a.m.to 1:00 p.m.for the
purpose of a controlled burn by the Waukee Fire Department of an unoccupied residence,with
an alternate controlled burn date of Tuesday,November 20,2018.
