The Consultant shall not cngiige the services ol'any person or pcrs&ms in the employ ol thc City n.the tinie ol'co&nmencing such services without ihe v«riuen consent of thc City. 1 g.SUSPENSION AND TERMINAT1ON OF AGREEMENT Thc right is reserved by the City to suspend this Agrccment at any time.Such suspension may be effected hy the City giving written notice to the Consultant,and shall bc clfective i&s of thc d«itc establ&shed in the suspcns&on i&otlcc.Pay&»ei&t fo&'Consultant's services shall be made by the City for services performed to the date established in the suspension notice.Should the City reinstate the w&&rk «ilter noiice of suspension,such reinstatement in«i)«be accomplished by thirty (30)days wriuen notice within a period of six (6)months ager such suspension,unless this period is extended by written consent of the Consult«ult, B.Upon ten (10)days &vritten notice to the Consult«n&t,the City n&ay terminate the Agreement at any time if it is found that reasons beyond the control of either the City or Consultant make it i&npossible or against the City's interest to complete the Agreement.In such case,the Consultant shall have no claims against thc City except for the v«ilue oi'the work performed up to the date thc Agrcemcnt is ter&ninated. Thc City may also terminate this Agreement at «niy time if it is found that thc Consultant has viola(eel any materi&&i tenn or condition of this Agrccmcnt or that Consultani hi&!i failed to maintain workers'compensation insurance &&r other insurance provided for il& this Agreement.In the event of such default by the Consultant«the City may give ten (10) days written notice to the Consultant of the City'»intent to terminate the Agreemcnt. Shive-Hattery guided a steering committee through an interactwe and collaborative design process resulting in a plan representing the preferred style,size,materiality and locations of a family of features for the purpose of announcing gateways,providing wayfinding and enhancement of community identity and budgetary fabrication and installation costs. The City seeks to move forward with implementation of signage and identity elements.The following scope of services detail three efforts:site-generic fabrication documenls for each of elements noted in the plan;site-specific impfementation plans for placement of signage;concept develop for Alice's Road improvements. Provide Landscape Architectural,Environmental Graphic Design,Structural,Electrical and Civil Engineering services to complete the following tasks: A.Develop site-generic Construction Documents: 1)Develop a stand-alone plan sheet for each of the following Sign Family members per the plan dated 5/21/2018. a)Primary Sign 'B' b)Primary Sign —Horizontal c)City Hall —Horizontal or Vertical d)Park Sign A e)Park Sign B f)Dog Park Sign (similar to Park Sign) g)Light Pole Banner h)Community/Median Marker 'A' i)Community/Median Marker 'B' j)Community Marker 'C' 2)Refine the concept for Primary Sign 'A'and provide up to two rounds of minor adjustments and resubmittal via e-mail to City staff for comment. a)Modify the signage master plan document with revisions. b)Exclude fabrication plan for Primary Sign 'A'as part of this proposal. 3)Develop fabrication plans that illustrate materials,dimensions,connections,color, footings,lightings and electrical provisions,structural engineering and architectural detailing. 4)Specifications shall be on-plan or technical.Front-end specifications are assumed to be provided by the owner. 5)Develop a cost opinion derived from the cost noted in the plan. 6)Bidding: a)Provide plans and technical specifications to the owner for public bidding. b)Assist the Owner B.Alice's Road Corridor improvement Concept 1)Develop a concept for incorporating identity elements and enhanced landscaping to the corridor between University Avenue and Hickman Road. 2)Develop a cost opinion utilizing costs derived from the signage master plan. C.Site Plans: 1)Develop individual site plans for implementation of three signs to be located at: a)Primary Sign —Horizontal at University Avenue b)City Hall Sign at City Hall c)Dog Park 2)Obtain topographical survey information for the Unwersity Avenue location. a)Shiva-Hattery has topographic information for City Hall b)Obtain design files from Confluence for the Dog Park location. 3)Develop plan for implementation and restoration.
