RESOLUTION 19-174
APPROVING THE RECEIPT AND FILE OF THE PURCHASE OF A 2020 CHEVY
TAHOE FROM SHOTTENKIRK CHEVROLET OF WAUKEE,IOWA,IN THE
AMOUNT OF $35,533.25 [WAUKEE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT]
1N THE NAME AND BY THEAUTHORITYOF THE C1TYOF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,on April 10,2019,quotes were received and opened by City staff for a vehicle for
use by the Waukee Public Works Director;AND,
WHEREAS,on April 15,2019,as part of the Consent Agenda,the Waukee City Council
approved the receipt and file of the purchase of a 2019 Chevy Tahoe from Shottenkirk Chevrolet
of Waukee,IA,in the amount of $35,270.00 [Waukee Public Works Department];AND,
WHEREAS,following approval,City staff was notified by Shottenkirk Chevrolet that the model
quoted is no longer available for order;AND,
WHEREAS,Shottenkirk Chevrolet also notified City staff that a 2020 Chevy Tahoe is available
for order instead,which increases the price by $263.25;AND,
WHEREAS,Shottenkirk Chevrolet remains the low bid for the vehicle.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
6'"day of May,2019,that it hereby approves the receipt and file of the purchase of a 2020 Chevy
Tahoe from Shottenkirk Chevrolet of Waukee,Iowa,in the amount of $35,533 aukee
Public Works Department].
