RESOLUTION 19-122
APPROVING THK TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CERTAIN PUBLIC STREETS FOR
THK BACOON BIKE RIDE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,Centennial Park in Waukee will act as the starting point for the BACooN Bike
Ride on Saturday,June 15,2019;AND,
WHEREAS,Centennial Park shall also serve as a camping site for BACooN Bike Ride
participants the evening of Friday,June 14,2019;AND,
WHEREAS,in an effort to improve traffic flow and increase safety for the event,Waukee Parks
and Recreation staff recommend the temporary closure of SE Park Road from SE Ashworth
Drive west approximately 1,000 feet beginning 7;00 a.m.and ending 9:00 a.m.on Saturday,June
15,2019;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to tJ364.12(2)(a),public ways and grounds may be temporarily closed by
resolution;
NOW THEREFORE BK IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
15ia day of April,2019,that it hereby approves the temporary closing of cert n public streets for
the BACooN Bike Ride.
