RESOLUTION 13-197
APPROVING RETAINING THE SERVICES OF CONFLUENCE OF DES MOINES,lA,
AS THE PLANNING FIRM FOR THE ALICE'S ROAD CORRIDOR PROJECT AND
AUTHORIZING CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,on June 17,2013,the Waukee City Council approved a Request for Qualifications
related to the Alice's Road Corridor Plan,Phase II (Resolution #13-160);AND,
WHEREAS,in response to the Requests for Qualifications received by the City,staff conducted
interviews with three experienced local planning firms;AND,
WHEREAS,based on those interviews,City staff recommends retaining the services of
Confluence of Des Moines,IA;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee that
retaining the services of Confluence as the planning film for the Alice's Road Corridor Project is
hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council that City staff is authorized to negotiate a
contract with Confluence for consideration by the City Council at a future meeting.
Passed by the City Council ofthe City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved the 22nd day of July,
2013.
