RESOLUTION 13-198
APPROVING THE HIRING OF THE COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR AND APPROVING FY2014 WAGES FOR
SAID POSITION
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,on May 6,2013,the Waukee City Council approved the establishment of the City
of Waukee Community and Economic Development Department,the job description for a
director of said department and the process for hiring said director (Resolution #13-128);AND,
WHEREAS,following the advertisement of the position and review of applications,a team
conducted interviews with five qualified applicants;AND,
WHEREAS,based on those interviews,City staff recommends hiring Dan Dutcher fOT the
position of Community and Economic Development Director;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOL YED by the City Council of the City of Waukee that the
hiring of Dan Dutcher as Community and Economic Development Director is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council that Mr.Dutcher shall begin employment
at a Grade 2,Level 3 with an annual salary of $88,560.00,with a move to a Grade 2,Level 4
with an annual salary of$95,645.00 following a successful six-month review.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved the 22nd day of July,
2013.
