RESOLUTION 13-244
APPROVING THE MAYOR'S APPOINTMENT OF A PRIMARY MEMBER FOR THE
DES MOINES AREA MPO TRANSPORTATION AND TECHNICAL COMMITTEE FOR
THE REMAINDER OF CALENDAR YEAR 2013
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee must annually appoint or reappoint representatives to the Des
Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO)and the MPO Transportation Tec1mical
Committee (MFO TTC);AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has two primary representatives and two altemate representatives
on both the MPO and on the MPO TTC;AND,
WHEREAS,due to the elimination of the Administrative Services Manager position,an
appointment must be made for one of the primary representative position to the MPO TCC for the
remainder of calendar year 2013;AND,
WHEREAS,Mayor William F.Peard appoints City Planner Ben Landhauser as a primary
representative to the MPO TTC.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the CityofWankee City Council in session this 16th
day of September,2013,that it hereby approves the mayor's appointment of a primary member for
the Des Moines Area MPO Transportation and Tec1mical Committee for the remainder of calendar
year 2013.
