RESOLUTION 13-246
APPROVING CITY OF WAUKEE ANTI-DISCRIMINATION POLICY
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State oflowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,it is beneficial for the City of Waukee to update its anti-discrimination policy to align
with the City's practice of complying with all sections of the Civil Rights Act;AND,
WHEREAS,the proposed anti-discrimination policy,attached hereto as Exhibit A,covers all
applicable sections of the Civil Rights Act (Titles I-XI).
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 7'h day
of October,2013,that it hereby approves the City of Waukee Anti-Discrimination Policy.

ANTI-DISCRIMINATION POLICY STATEMENT
It is the policy of the City of Waukee that no person,on the grounds of race,color,
religion,sex,sexual orientation,gender identity,genetic information,gender,age,
national origin,marital status,disability,status as a veteran,or other class
protected by applicable Federal,State of Iowa,or local Law,shall be excluded
from participation in,be denied benefits of,or be subjected to discrimination
under any program or activity offered by the City.The City of Waukee further
assures every effort will be made to ensure nondiscrimination in all of its
committees,programs,and activities,regardless of the funding source.

This policy was adopted at a regular City Council meeting held on October 7,2013.
