RESOLUTION 13-303
APPROVING AND ACCEPTING AGREEMENTS TO INCLUDE AGRICULTURAL
LAND IN THE GATEWAY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT URBAN RENEWAL AREA
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS,on October 21,2013,the Waukee City Council approved the adoption of the
Gateway Economic Development Urban Renewal Area (Resolution #13-257);AND,
WHEREAS,Section 403.17(10)of the Code ofIowa states that no agricultural land may be
included in an urban renewal area without property owner agreement;AND,
W Hl£REAS,the City of Waukee has received signed agreements to include agricultural land in
the Gateway Economic Development Urban Renewal Area from the following property owners
within the urban renewal area:
1)Charles F.and Cheryl A.Goodall
2)Robert Etzel
3)Charles Swallow
4)ARAC,LLC and FAK,LLC
5)David W.and C.Patricia Clark
6)Richard W.Giles Trust
7)Wright Tree Service
8)Beasley Fanus,Inc.
9)Hurd Waukee,LLC
10)Lemar Kocthe
11)Lolowau,LLC
12)Deseret Trust Company
13)Ashworth Properties,Inc.
14)Oakleaf Properties,LC
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
14th day of November,2013,that it hereby approves and accepts agreements to include
agricultural land in the Gateway Economic Development Urban Renewal Area and authorizes
the mayor to sign the agreements on behalf ofthe City of aukee.
