RESOLUTION 14-017
APPROVING AN IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FEDERAL AID
AGREEMENT FOR A NON-PRIMARY HIGHWAY PROJECT [ALICE'S ROAD-
TRAFFIC SIGNALIZATION/TRAIL FROM ASHWORTH ROAD TO UNIVERSITY
AVENUE]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the City received Surface Transportation Priorities Projects funds in the amount of
$949,838 for the traffic signalization and trail project along Alice's Road from University
Avenue to Ashworth Road;AND,
WHEREAS,the Iowa Department of Transportation has provided a Federal Aid Agreement for
a Non-Primary Highway Project that outlines the requirements HIe City must fulfill in order to be
eligible for federal funding for the Alice's Road -Traffic Signalization/Trail Project;AND,
WHEREAS,the City Attomey has reviewed the agreement and finds it satisfactory.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee that the
Iowa Department of Transportation Federal Aid Agreement for a Non-Primary Highway Project
is hereby approved.
Passed by the City Council ofthe City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved the 6th day of January,
2014.
