RESOLUTION 14-014
APPROVING THE MAYOR'S APPOINTMENT OF PRIMARY AND ALTERNATE MEMBERS
OF THE DES MOINES AREA METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION (MPO)AND
PRIMARY AND ALTERNATE MEMBERS FOR THE DES MOINES AREA MPO
TRANSPORTATION AND TECHNICAL COMMITTEE FOR THE YEAR 2014
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee must annually appoint or reappoint representatives to the Des Moines
Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO)and the MPO Transportation Teclmical Committee
(MPO TTC);AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has two primary representatives and two altemate representatives on
both the MPO and on the MPO TTC;AND,
WHEREAS,for the calendar year 2014,Mayor William F.Peard appoints Council Member Casey L.
Harvey and City Administrator Tim Moerman as primary representatives;and Mayor William F.Peard
and Director of Development Services Bradly M.Deets as altemate representatives to the MPO;AND,
WHEREAS,for the calendar year 2014,Mayor William F.Peard appoints Director of Development
Services Bradly M.Deets and Senior Planner Ben Landhauser as primary representatives;and Director of
Public Works John Gibson and Planner II Andy Kass as altemate representatives to the MFO TTC.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 6th day of
January,2014,that it hereby approves the Mayor's appointments to the Metropolitan Planning
Organization and to the Metropolitan Planning Organizaji n Transpor ion Teclmical Committee.
