RESOLUTION 14-015
APPROVING THE MAYOR'S APPOINTMENT OF EX OFFICIO MEMBERS AND
VOTING MEMBER TO THE WAUKEE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
CORPORATION FOR THE YEAR 2014
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized rmuricipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee Economic Development Corporation was established as a non-profit
organization dedicated to the betterment of the quality oflife of Waukee citizens through the
promotion of responsible business development in the community;AND,
WHEREAS,Mayor William F.Peard appoints City Adnrinistrator Tim Moerman and
Community and Economic Development Director Dan Dutcher as the City staff members to the
ex-officio director positions of the Waukee Econonric Development Corporation for the Year
2014;AND,
WHEREAS,as a paying member,the WEDCO bylaws allow for the City of Waukee to appoint
a voting member to the WEDCO Board of Directors;AND,
WHEREAS,Mayor William F.Peard appoiuts himself as the City of Waukee representative
voting member to the WEDCO Board of Directors.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
6th day ofJanuary,2014,that it hereby approves the Mayor's appointment ofthe ex-officio
director positions and the voting member position to the Waukee Economi Development
Corporation for the Year 2014.
