RESOLUTION 14-033
APPROVING SOFTWARE AS A SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH GIS PLANNING,INC.
[COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,in conjunction with the redesign of the City of Waukee website,City staff and the
Community and Economic Development Advisory Council (CEDAC)have researched software for the
listing of sites and buildings in Waukee to allow prospective investors and developers easy access to
such information;AND,
WHEREAS,GIS Planning,Inc.,is a software company providing the ability to assemble and
distribute site,building,demographic,business,and mapping data related to the City of Waukee to
prospective investors and developers through a website platform which can be managed by the City of
Waukee;AND,
WHEREAS,City staff and CEDAC recommend approval of an agreement with GIS Planning,Inc.,
related to that company's site selection software;AND,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 21"
day of January,2014,that the Software as a Service Agreement with GIS Planning,Inc.[Connnunity
and Economic Development Department]is hereby approved.Uuz.-/
