RESOLUTION 14-064
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE EMPLOYMENT EVALUATION AND SALARY
ADJUSTMENT RECOMENDATION CONCERNING THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,Tim Moerman was appointed as the City Administrator,at will,for the City of
Waukee on February 18,2013;AND,
WHEREAS,the Personnel Committee conducted its annual performance evaluation of the City
Administrator;AND,
WHEREAS,the Personnel Committee evaluated the compensation packages of those in
comparable positions in the metro area and evaluated the demands of the Waukee City
Administrator's position in the City of Waukee and the City Administrator's performance in
meeting the demands of the position to date;AND,
WHEREAS,based on the Personnel Committee's study of compensation packages in the metro
area for comparable positions and the City Administrator's performance to date,the Personnel
Committee recommends that the City Administrator receive a 10%salary increase effective
February 18,2014,the City Administrator's one-year anniversary date,and an additional 3%
salary increase effective July 1,2014,AND
WHEREAS,the City Council having considered the reconnnendation,the challenges of the City
Administrator's position in our rapidly growing community,the City Administrator's
performance to date,and the compensation packages of comparable positions throughout the
State,accepts and approves the evaluation and recommendation of the Personnel Committee
conceming the City Administrator.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council that the
evaluation and recommendation of the Personnel Committee should be and the same is hereby
approved.The salary of City Administrator shall be increased by 10%effective February 18,
2014 and an additional 3%effective July 1,2014.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved this,the 3rd day of March,
2014.
