RESOLUTION 14-054
APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN KUTAK ROCK,LLP,AND THE CITY OF
WAUKEE,lOW A,RELATED TO LOBBYING SERVICES
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA,.
,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS,for several years,the Cities of Waukee and West Des Moines mutually and jointly
agreed to retain the services ofKutaic Rock,LLP,to represent the cities in order to communicate
with various officials about the need and justification for the 105th Street/Alice's Road/I-80
Interchange project and associated roadway improvements (Waukee Resolutions #07-141,#09-
125,#11-50 and #13-033);AND,
WHEREAS,the Cities of Waukee and West Des Moines have received a letter of agreement
from Kutak Rock,LLP,dated February 10,2014,related to representation of the cities in order
to communicate with various officials on certain appropriation and highway reauthorization
funding requests made to Iowa's congressional representatives;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Waukee,Iowa,in session
this 3'd day of March,2014,does hereby approve retaining the services of Kutak Rock,LLP,to
represent the Cities of Waukee and West Des Moines on the 105th Street/Alice's RoacllI-80
Interchange project,pending approval by the City of West Des Moines.
