RESOLUTION 14-086
APPROVING GROUND LEASE AND OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
AGREEMENT FOR METROPOLITAN SALT STORAGE FACILITY ON
METRO WASTE AUTHORITY PROPERTY
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,on June 16,2008,the Waukee City Council approved the execution of a 28E
agreement for the lease purchase of a Metropolitan Salt Storage Facility (Resolution #08-128)
and an Operation and Maintenance Agreement related to the same facility (Resolution #08-129);
AND,
WHERAS,the lease agreement approved in 2008 is expired;AND,
WHEREAS,the Metro Waste Authority has provided a Ground Lease and Operation and
Maintenance Agreement to address renewal of the original agreement and the long-term lease of
the property on which the salt storage facility is constructed;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa on
this the 7th day of April,2014,that it hereby approves the Ground Lease and Operation and
Maintenance Agreement for Metropolitan Salt Storage Facility on Metro Waste Authority
Property.
