RESOLUTION 14-092
APPROVING REMOVING A IS-TON EMBARGO ON SE UNIVERSITY
AVENUE FROM SE L.A.GRANT PARKWAY TO S.WARRIOR LANE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized
Municipal Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,on May 16,2005,the Waukee City Council approved a IS-ton embargo on
SE University Avenue from SE L.A.Grant Parkway to S.Warrior Lane,and on S.
Warrior Lane from SE Ashworth Drive to SE University Avenue (Resolution #05-86);
AND,
WHEREAS,City staff recommends removing the embargo on SE University Avenue,as
heavy truck traffic along the roadway is no longer as frequent nor significantly impacts
the street overlay.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa on this 7th day of April,2014 that it hereby approved removing a IS-ton embargo on
SE University Avenue from SE L.A.Grant Parkway to S.Warrior Lane.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee that the 15-
ton embargo on S.Warrior Lane from SE Ashworth Drive to SE University Avenue shall
remain in force and effect.
