RESOLUTION 14-173
APPROVING THK MAYOR'S APPOINTMKNT OF MEMBERS TO THK
ALICE'S ROAD HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMITTEE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHOMTY OF THE CITY OF WA USE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County;AND,
WHEREAS,on May 5,2014,2014,the Waukee City Council approved a resolution
recognizing the legacy of Alice Nizzi and naming a roadway,park and historic district in
her honor (Resolution 014-112);AND,
'WHEREAS,as part of that resolution,the City Council approved the formation of a
committee to form the "Alice Nizzi Historic Area,"participate in the design of the park,
and develop methods of memorializing and corrnnunicating to park goers,and the public,
the accomplishments of Alice Nizzi and her importance to the history of the area;
WHEREAS,Mayor William F.Peard makes the following appointments to the Alice's
Road Historic District Committee:

3)Teresa Broderick 8)Parks and Recreation Director Matt Jermier

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 7"day of July,2014,that it hereby approves the Mayor's ap ointments to the
Alice's Road Historic District Committee.
