Home My WebLink About2014-07-21-Resolutions 14-188_Polling Place Agreement, Waukee Community CenterTHE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA RESOLUTION 14-188 ACCEPTING POLLING PLACE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE DALLAS COUNTY COMMISSIONER OF ELECTIONS AND THK CITY OF WAUKEK [WAUKKK 3 PRECINCT] IN THENAME AND BY THEAUTHORITYOF THE CITYOF WAUICEE,IOWA WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal Organization;AND, WHEREAS,on April 2,2012,the Waukee City Council accepted an agreement with the Dallas County Commissioner of Elections for the use of the Waukee Public Works Facility,805 University Avenue,as the polling place for the Waukee 3 Precinct (Resolution 012-77);AND, WHEREAS,at the request of the City of Waukee to relocate said polling place to a location more convenient for the residents living within the Waukee 3 Precinct,the Dallas County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections has provided a Polling Place Agreement related to the use of the Waukee Community Center,675 Walnut Street,as the polling place for Waukee Precinct 3,with said precinct described as follows: Election precinct 3 is that part of the City lying south of the centerline of E.Hickman Road (U.S.Highway 6),north of the centerline of University Avenue (300th Street),west of the centerline of SE Waco Place and east of the centerline of Warrior Lane,except an area south of the centerline of E.Hickman Road which shall be defined as areas west of the centerline of SE Westgate Drive,north of the centerline of SE Olson Drive,east of the centerline of SE Cardinal Lane,north of the centerline of SE Windfield Parkway and east of the centerline of Warrior Lane; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 21"day of July,2014,that it hereby accepts the Polling Place Agreement between the Dallas County Commissioner of Elections and the City ol Waukee [Waukee 3 Prec'ct]. lliam F.P ard,Mayor Attest: Rebecca D.Schuett,City Clerk ROLL CALL VOTE Shane Blanchard Brian Harrison Casey L.Harvey Shelly Hughes Rick Peterson AYK X X X X NAY ABSENT ABSTAIN
