APPROVING THK TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SIXTH STREET FROM THE NORTH
SIDE OF LOCUST NORTH TO SOUTH SIDE OF ASHWORTH DRIVE AND CLOSING
WALNUT STREET FROM THK ALLEY WEST OF THK HARDWARE STORE EAST
TO THK WEST SIDE OF FIFTH STREET AND CLOSING ASHWORTH DRIVE FROM
THE WEST SIDE OF FIFTH STREET TO THK EAST SIDE OF SIXTH STREET,
BEGINNING 10:00 A.M.ON FRIDAY,AUGUST 22,2014,AND ENDING 10:00 A.M.ON
MONDAY,AUGUST 25)2014,FOR THK PURPOSE OF WAUKKK FEST
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHOIuTY OF THE CITY OF 8"2 UEEE,IOWA
~REAS,the City of Waukee will host Waukee Fest on Saturday,August 23,2014;AND,
WHEREAS,Waukee Fest is located in the downtown Triangle Park area where vendors,
entertainers,entertaining,resting and eating areas are located on streets,grounds,sidewalks,and
other public spaces accessible by the public except by motorized vehicle;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to $364.12(2)(a),public ways and grounds may be temporarily closed by
resolution;
August 22,2014,and ending 10:00 a.m.on Monday,August 25,2014,for the
Waukee Fest.

NOW THEREFORE BK IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
21"day of July,2014,that it hereby approves the temporary closing of Sixth Street from the
north side of Locust north to south side of Ashworth Drive and closing Walnut Street from the
alley west of the Hardware Store east to the west side of Fifth Street and closing Ashworth Drive
from the west side of Fifth Street to the east side of Sixth Street,beginning 10:00 a,m.on Friday,
