RESOLUTION 14-192
SUPPORTING AN IOWA DEPARTMENT OF NATIJRAL RESOURCES
ENHANCEMENT AND PROTECTION FUND (REAP)GRANT APPLICATION
RELATED TO THK RACCOON RIVER VALLEY TRAILHKAD PUBLIC ART
PROJECT
IN THE NAME AND BYTHE A UTHOMTY OF THE CITY OF 8'A USE,IOS'A
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized
Municipal Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the provision of open spaces,parks and trails is an essential function of city
government;AND,
WHEREAS,the Raccoon River Valley Trailhead Public Art Committee and Waukee City
staff recommend applying for REAP grant funding for the installation of a public art piece
and related amenities at the Waukee trailhead in order to increase the enjoyment of users of
the Raccoon River Valley trail system.
NOW THEREFORE BK IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council that it
hereby supports the Resource Enhancement and Protection (REAP)grant application for the
Raccoon River Valley Trailhead Public Art Project.
thPassedbytheCityCounciloftheCityofWaukee,Iowa,and approved the 4 day of August,
2014.
