RESOLUTION 14-191
APPROVING THK TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PAINTED WOODS DRIVE BETWEEN ITS
INTERSECTIONS WITH ARROWHEAD DRIVE BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 3:00 P.M.ON
SATURDAY,AUGUST 23,2014,AND 12:00 A.M.ON SUNDAY,AUGUST 24,2014,FOR
THE PURPOSE OF A NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHOMTY OF THE CITY OF WA USE,IOS'A
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,Mary Rush,355 Arrowhead Dr.,requests the temporary closing of Painted Woods Drive
between its intersections with Arrowhead Drive between the hours of 3:00 p.m.on Saturday,August
23,2014,and 12:00 a.m.on Sunday,August 24,2014,for the purpose of a neighborhood block party;
AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to Code of Iowa $364.12(2)(a),public ways and grounds may be temporarily
closed by resolution.
NOW THEREFORE BK IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 4 day
of August,2014,that it hereby approves the temporary closing of Painted Woods Drive between its
intersections with Arrowhead Drive between the hours of 3:00 p.m.on Saturday,August 23,2014,and
12:00 a.m.on Sunday,August 24,2014,for the purpose of a neighborhood block party,pending City
department approval.
