APPROVING THK TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SK MEADOWLARK LANK BETWEEN SK
MELROSE DRIVE AND SK MARSHALL DRIVE BETWEEN THK HOURS OF 5:00 P.M.ON
SATURDAY,SEPTEMBER 27,2014,AND 12:00 A.M.ON SUNDAY)SEPTEMBER 2S,2014,
FOR THK PURPOSE OF A NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHOIUTY OF THE CITY OF 8'A USE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,Noelle Mann,575 SE Meadowlark Ln.,requests the temporary closing of SE
Meadowlark Lane between SE Melrose Drive and SE Marshall Drive between the hours of 5:00 p.m.
on Saturday,September 27,2014,and 12:00 a.m.on Sunday,September 28,2014,for the purpose of a
neighborhood block party;AND,
WHEREAS,the applicant had been approved for a temporary street closing for August 17,2014
(Resolution 014-190),but due to inclement weather,was forced to cancel and therefore has reapplied
for the temporary street closing and date as referenced in the resolution title,above;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to Code of Iowa )364.12(2}(a),public ways and grounds may be temporarily
closed by resolution.
NOW THEREFORE BK IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 15'"
day of September,2014,that it hereby approves the temporary closing of SE Meadowlark Lane
between SE Melrose Drive and SE Marshall Drive between the hours of 5:00 p.m.on Saturday,
September 27,2014,and 12:00 a.m.on Sunday,September 28,2014,for the purpose of a
neighborhood block party.
