RESOLUTION 14-270
APPROVING THK MAYOR'S APPOINTMKNT OF A MEMBER TO THE
ALICE'S ROAD HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMITTEE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF 8'A UICEE,IO8'A
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County;AND,
WHEREAS,on May 5,2014,2014,the Waukee City Council approved a resolution
recognizing the legacy of Alice Nizzi and naming a roadway,park and historic district in
her honor (Resolution ¹14-112);AND,
WHEREAS,on July 7,2014,the Waukee City Council approved Mayor William F.
Peard's appointment of members to the Alice's Road Historic District Committee
(Resolution ¹14-173);AND;
WHEREAS,appointee Teresa Broderick does not wish to serve on the Alice's Road
Historic District Committee,leaving a vacancy for a member of the Waukee Area
Historical Society;AND,
WHEREAS,Mayor William F.Peard appoints Jeff Longman to the Alice's Road
Historic District Committee.
NOW THEREFORE BK IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 6'"day of October,2014,that it hereby approves the Mayor's appointment of
Jeff Longman to the Alice's Road Historic District Connnittee.
