APPROVAL OF THE TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SE ALICE'S ROAD/GRAND PRAIRIE
PARKWAY FROM SK ASHWORTH ROAD SOUTH TO INTERSTATK 80 BETWEEN
THK HOURS OF 10:00A.M.AND 5:00 P.M.ON WEDNESDAY,OCTOBER 15,2014,FOR
THE PURPOSE OF THK GRAND PRAIRIE PARKWAY INTERCHANGE
GROUNDBRKAKING CEREMONY
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHOMTY OF THE CITY OF WA USE,IONIA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;AND,
WHEREAS,on Wednesday,October 15,2014,at 3:00 p.m.,the Cities of Waukee and West Des
Moines will have a groundbreaking ceremony on and near the Grand Prairie Parkway overpass;AND,
WHEREAS,City staff requests the temporary closing of SE Alice's Road/Grand Prairie Parkway
fi om SE Ashworth Road south to Interstate 80 between the hours of 10:00 a.m.and 5;00 p.m.on
Wednesday,October 15,2014;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to $364.12(2)(a),public ways and grounds may be temporarily closed by
resolution.
NOW THEREFORE BK IT RESOLVED by the Waukee City Council in session this 6'"day of
October,2014,that it hereby approves the temporary closing of SE Alice's Road/Grand Prairie
Parkway from SE Ashworth Road south to hxterstate 80 between the hours of 10:00 a.m.and 5:00 p.m.
on Wednesday,October 15,2014,for the purpose of the Grand Prairie Parkway Interchange
groundbreaking ceremony.
