RESOLUTION 14-283
AUTHORIZING THK SUBMITTAL OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THK BRAVO
CAPITAL CAMPAIGN GRANT PROGRAM ON BEHALF OF THK CITY OF
WAUKKE AND THE WAUKEK TRAILHKAD PUBLIC ART PROJECT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF 8'A UKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized
Municipal Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the provision of open spaces,parks and trails is an essential function of city
government;AND,
WHEREAS,the Raccoon River Valley Trailhead Public Art Corrnnittee has identified the
Bravo Capital Campaign Grant as a potential funding source for construction of the project
structures and related site improvements;AND,
WHEREAS,the $100,000 grant request does not exceed 30%of the total project costs,which
is a requirement for the grant,and does not include or require any additional funding by the
City of Waukee.
NOW THEREFORE BK IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council that it
hereby authorizes the submittal of a grant application to the Bravo Capital Campaign Grant
Program on behalf of the City of Waukee and the Waukee Trailhead Public Art Project.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved the 20"ay of
October,2014.
