RESOLUTION 14-335
AUTHORIZING THK SUBMITTAL OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THK
OUR TOWN/NATIONAL KNDOWMKNT FOR THK ARTS GRANT ON BEHALF
OF THK CITY OF WAUKKK AND THK WAUKKK TRAILHKAD PUBLIC
ART PRO JECT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF 8'AUEEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized
Municipal Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the provision of open spaces,parks and trails is an essential Amction of city
government;AND,
WHEREAS,the Raccoon River Valley Trailhead Public Att Conunittee has identified the
Our Town/National Endowment for the Ass Grant as a potential funding source for
construction of the project structures and related site improvements;AND,
WHEREAS,the $200,000 grant request does not include or require any additional funding by
the City of Waukee.
NOW THEREFORE BK IT RKSOLVKD by the City of Waukee City Council that it
hereby authorizes the submittal of a grant application to the Our Town/National Endowment
for the Ass Grant on behalf of the City of Waukee and the Waukee Trailhead Public Art
Project.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved the 1"day of
December,2014.
