RESOLUTION 14-337
APPROVING THK MAYOR'S APPOINTMKNT OF MEMBERS TO THK
COMPLETE COMMUNITY STEERING COMMITTEE
IN THE NAME AND BYTHE A UTHOMTY OF THE CITY OF 8'A UKEE,
IONIA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County;AND,
WHEREAS,on November 17,2014,the Waukee City Council approved an agreement
with Flynn Wright related to the development of a new city brand and position
(Resolution 014-332);AND,
WHEREAS,as part of the agreement,a steering committee will work with Flynn Wright
tluough regular meetings to review work performed by Flynn Wright toward a complete
comnnmity strategy goal,including research,creative development and the creation of a
brand blueprint and marketing pillars;AND,
WHEREAS,the Complete Community Steering Conunittee shall remain in existence
until such time as the project is deemed to be complete or a simple majority of the
Council determine that the Conuxziffee is no longer needed;AND,
WHEREAS,Mayor William F.Peard makes the following appointments to the
Complete Community Steering Committee:
1.Mayor William F.Peard
2.Council Member Rick Peterson
3.Council Member Casey L.Harvey
4.City Administrator Tim Moerman
5.Conununications Director Amanda Gorsche Miller
6.Director of Cormnunity and Economic Development Dan Dutcher
7.Melinda Beim (Waukee Area Chamber of Conunerce)
Jerry Purdy (Waukee Area Chamber of Commerce)
9.Sue Ellen Kennedy (Waukee Area Historical Society)
10.Lyn Schafer (Waukee Downtown Association)
11.Ryan Tyler (Community and Economic Development Advisory Council)
12.Cliris McLinden (Coirnnunity and Economic Development Advisory Council)
NOW THEREFORE BK IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session tins 1"day of December,2014,that it hereby approves the Mayor's appointments
to the Complete Coirnnunity Steering Committee.
