RESOLUTION 14-345
AUTHORIZING FUNDING NOT TO EXCEED $15,000.00 FOR BACOON RIDE 2015
ENTERTAINMKNT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF IVA USE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee will host the Packet Pick-up Party for the 2015 BACooN Ride on
Friday,June 19;AND,
WHEREAS,the success of the 2014 inaugural BACooN Ride leads event organizers to expect
attendance in 2015 to double,AND,
WHEREAS,in order to help market and brand Waukee's potion of the BACooN Ride activities,the
Waukee BACooN Ride Convnittee requests Amding in an amount not to exceed $15,000.00 for
entertainment and peripherals;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee BACooN Ride Conmuttee will also pursue sponsorships and food and drink
sales as possible ways to offset costs associated with the entertainment and to contribute profits back to
the connnunity.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session.this 10"'
day of December,2014,that it hereby authorizes funding not to exceed $15,000.00 from the General
Fund —Parks budget for BACooN Ride 2015 entertannnent.
