RESOLUTION 14-350
APPROVING CITY OF WAUKEK FINANCIAL INCENTIVES POLICY
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHOIUTY OF THE CITY OF IVA USE,IO8'A
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized nninicipality witliin Dallas
County;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee City Council determines that financial incentive tools are
crucial to support businesses and developer locating,building and expanding in Waukee;
AND„
WHEREAS,in addition to State firiancial incentives,including but not limited to Tax
Increment Financing and Industrial Tax Abatement,the City of Waukee shall also create
a Special Projects Fund,and each project funded under the Special Projects Fund shall be
actual costs capped at $25,000.00;AND;
WHEREAS,the Special Projects Fund shall provide a source of funds that businesses
can use to get the information they need to evaluate a location in Waukee,such as traffic
studies,environmental studies or other expert consultations;AND,
WHEREAS,applications to the Special Projects Fund shall be considered on a case-by-
case basis and approval shall be based primarily on the total capital investment being
made,the number of jobs created and the salaries of the jobs created;
NOW THEREFORE BK IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 15"day of December,2014,that it hereby approves the City of Waukee
Financial Incentives Policy.
